Hi, I’m Shaun from SB Decor.
I’m a painter and decorator specialising in interior decorating, including hallways and staircases, full room repaints and preparation-heavy or remedial work where surfaces need properly stabilised before decorating.
I work in an organised and tidy manner, using trusted trade materials and thorough preparation to achieve a clean, long-lasting finish. I aim to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship, with clear scope and pricing agreed in advance.
I’m always happy to explain what’s included before work starts and offer honest advice on the best approach for each job. I’m best suited to clients looking for a straightforward, professional service and a quality finish.

Shaun did a great job when painting my hall and 2 other rooms. Will definitely be asking him back to paint rest of the house in the future. Great job and leaves everything spotless. Would highly recommend!

Positives - wall looks good. Seemed a nice guy. Negatives - Shaun never did the woodwork around the window wall as it was not in the negotiated quote.. added VAT onto original quote - not VAT registered.. removed VAT in negotiated quote Shaun said job would be 3 days and he finished it in 1 and half days. Said more labour cost and less labour cost.. but work needing done never changed so surely costs should be the same. Be careful when you get quotes from Shaun all work not included after discussion.

All work was completed in line with the written, agreed quotation. Any items not listed (such as additional woodwork) are not included unless agreed in advance. I am not VAT registered and no VAT was charged. This was a fixed-price quote, so the price does not change if the job is completed sooner.

We discussed window wall up to the first strip on my main wall including woodwork. After we declined and discussed still needing same work done at the time. Correct no VAT was charged but 20%VAT was on your original quote which we have a copy of.. email in which you said and I quote "you could remove the VAT to reduce the price. You admitted in either text or email which we have that the woodwork was removed in the amended quote so that lining paper was included. Despite the discussion of work taking place

Actually all work was not completed as per original quote cause you never completed painting the front door. Blaming fact that the joiner was there on the Sunday. Front door could have been done on the Saturday when no other workmen were in the property. Invoice then reflected the deduction for the door not done. Oh and yeah additional touch ups were done even though I asked you for a quote before any work was done on the Saturday as I wanted to discuss everything. You never gave me the quote.

Needed someone at very short notice. Shaun responded very quickly, came round the same evening & gave us a very reasonable quote. Job was carried out next 2 days to a very high standard. Shaun arrived on time & his work is of a very high standard. Thoroughly recommend Shaun, such a lovely person too !
