They called me to book in a job and moved the job time twice in the same day and felt it was appropriate to come out at 8pm at night. I'd wasted my whole Saturday waiting in for a quote. Ironic considering the name of their company.

Simon did my dormer repair for a good price, when he said he would do it, which was within the week, and left the site clean and tidy. He also took photos so I could see the work. The work was carried out in an awkward/difficult area hard to access to a high standard. Simon was responsive when contacted and easy to communicate with. I recommend him and I definitely will ask him to carry out any other roofing work should it be necessary.

So the context here is that we have had 4 roofers come to us (not from Rated People) to repair our leak. All arrived with promises to resolve our leak and none managed to do this. Jay and his team inspected the job, confirmed what needed to be done and has delivered on his promises. Mar came to my home and was extremely polite and professional and was very willing to do any garden work I asked him to do. He removed all the turf from my front garden and replaced it with a weed membrane and stone chippings and now it looks amazing. It was all done very quickly. Mike and his colleague did an excellent job. Needed an old 1970s asbestos garage roof replacing. Came and cut back all the overgrown foliage in half a day and then finished the roof the day after! High quality finish and very impressed.

Keiran and his gang at Smith & Sons are a total disgrace. He demanded full payment upfront (which clearly funded his honeymoon), did the bare minimum, then vanished. No return, no refund, no shame. They’ve taken our money and run – pure theft, in my view. They hide behind multiple business names, which reeks of dishonesty and likely tax dodging. Untrustworthy. Unreliable. Unprofessional. Avoid them like the plague. I wouldn’t let them near a garden with a bargepole.
