George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. James Butler also trades as CGS Landscapes. He paved my driveway with poor quality slabs in September 2024 blaming the manufacturer and not himself. More broken slabs has been replaced by him 3 times in 6 months. He has refused to respond to my calls. He texted back calling me. STUPID when I texted him to say I will report him to RatedPeople and the authorities. More slabs broke 2 days ago. Sent him the picture. He simply texted back: MOVED TO DEVON NO LONGER WORKING. Please don’t hire James Butler.

Had issues with Kris from the beginning. Agreed a quote of £600 for 30 squares. First day came down spent 3 hours and all that was lad was 6squares of underlay . Equipment didn’t work. second day did around 8 squares of laminate flooring was always out at the car. Third day he’d started at 8:30 but at around 10 he started talking about additional costs which he did not raise in the beginning. So I asked him to leave and paid him for work completed. Work ok but slow but would not trust as could cost you.

We had them in to install insulation in our upstairs floor, replace the sub floor, replace some lights, install a loft hatch, and board out our loft. On top of this they discovered a problem in our roof that they fixed. We were incredibly impressed by all of the staff that attended on site. They were friendly, polite at all times, and worked really hard, to a high standard. I couldn't recommend James and his team more, and we've already started talking to them about a further project.
