James arrived at the agreed time and after going up to survey the chimney produced a detailed plan and quotation and showed me photos.The price was fair and the work was undertaken straight away. Unfortunately I’m dissatisfied with the job S&D has done for 3 reasons: * they smeared with the cement mix all the brickwork they touched as well as the adjacent wall and the electric car charger * they left the rubble behind * they were going to leave the roof not weather sealed until I spotted and and fought for it to be mended

I have no issue with the work they did, but they should routinely carry cleaning equipment such as brooms, dustpan and brush and a vacuum cleaner. They should not need to use mine, or ask me for a bucket to mix up plaster in. Finally they really should take their rubbish away or tell their clients the price does not include rubbish removal. Putting it in my neighbour’s bin and on my garden is unacceptable.

We engaged with Patrick at Rose Paving to improve a desperately unkempt pathway in our rear garden. From his initial attendance to quote and then throughout the pre-works period, the standard of communication and planning were top notch. We were extremely happy with the quoted final price, the works (as we had a few issues to deal with which they handled excellently) and the sign off - and would recommend Rose Paving to any one.

Very prompt response to come and assess and quote for the work. They were keen to do the work the next day even though I was going to be out - they called when they arrived, sent photos as they progressed the work, messaged when finished with final photos. They took away all the rubbish (there was a lot of pruning done) and didn’t ask for payment until I had reviewed everything in person the following morning (it was dark when I got home). Overall very polite and did a very good job.
