After struggling to find a decent plasterer in the past when we needed to find someone to plaster the downstairs of our house we turned to Rated People. From the start communication with C M Lambourne Plastering was simple and straightforward, and their pricing was fair and competitive. They arrived on time each time and were very tidy and considerate on site. Their work was very good and we are very pleased with the outcome. Keiran and his gang at Smith & Sons are a total disgrace. He demanded full payment upfront (which clearly funded his honeymoon), did the bare minimum, then vanished. No return, no refund, no shame. They’ve taken our money and run – pure theft, in my view. They hide behind multiple business names, which reeks of dishonesty and likely tax dodging. Untrustworthy. Unreliable. Unprofessional. Avoid them like the plague. I wouldn’t let them near a garden with a bargepole.

Although we did not hire this company for the internal building work we asked them to quote to put up decking and a fence in the garden. They have done an excellent job and have been a pleasure to have around. Punctual,reliable and polite and very good tradesmen. I would recommend them for similar work.

I can highly recommend Thor. Marcin has completed my loft conversion to a very high standard. His tradesmen have all been polite, careful, tidy and competent. I used the architect and structural engineer Marcin recommended and was pleased with their results. He had a company calculate the cost of the project so there has been no ambiguity about costs from the outset. The job has been completed to a high standard and I am thrilled with the result of his work! Am happy to recommend.

Great job, done to a very professional standard. The lads always turned up on time and were able to help with some unforeseen issues caused by a damp wall and flooring. The original job was for a kitchen refit but they were able to help us with all the other problems with no extra hands required.
