A nice guy, who did the job, but I was glad to see leave!Substantially under estatimated the time the job would take. Despite being home, he made poor decisions without communicating with me e..g. initially fitted handrails stupidly , intended on leaving base of initial hadraill, left bricks on drive (despite advising him of attempted break in) expected me to get rid of waste, asked4payment mid way through (an intended 2 day job). After a very bad experience with the original company that dealt with our roof we were pleasantly surprised to find a company that turned up as promised. After inspecting our roof, they explained what needed to be done and we are extremely satisfied with the way our problem has been dealt with. We chose to use A&M Carpenter for the refurbishment of the bar in our village hall. Colin and team took on a tough job refreshing a top floor bathroom and adding in a shower to a compact space with low eaves,. Despite encountering a few surprises (lack of isolation valves, dead pigeons etc) the job was done in good time and on budget.. Colin worked with me to provide options on fitments to suit style & budget and was honest when I was better off purchasing direct rather than through him. The job wasn't rushed and the finish is excellent. Also took on some external wiring work as well.

City and Guilds trained at Bucks University College in cabinet making. Recommendation "We have recently employed NML Contracts to undertake work on our house of a challenging nature and for which the usual jobbing builder and plumber declined to quote. NML Contracts have demonstrated skills and initiative in dealing with the unexpected and produced a thoroughly satisfactory and pleasing result which has materially improved the attractiveness and serviceability of the house . The work included incorporating a porch into the lounge area , requiring an RSJ some 4.4m in length, In the course of construction t was found that the roof was concrete and was supported by the outer skin of the house, whereas the roof of the house was conventional timber and was supported by the inner skin. It was therefore necessary to use the RSJ to support the concrete and provide suitable timber supports for the main roof . This was done most expertly and quickly and was approved by the building inspectors. All energy conservation requirements were fully met .
