George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. I had really good experiennce with Shak and very helpful advices. He visited our home as soon I advertised, gave us suggestions, provided options and quotes. We were interested in high end doors then Shak suggested a near by doors company. Sadly when visited the company and found that high end doors cost way above our planned budget we decided to pause the work for this year. We used Paul to replace our conservatory floor, he arranged to view the job and arrived on time. After a few minutes with Paul you see he knows the building job inside out. He advised us of different options and wasn’t pushy. Leaving me to think it over. When we called him back to start work we were very impressed with how hard working and professional he is. The floor was completed on time and within budget, it looks and feels great! We now have him listed in our contacts for future work.
Stephens is a very accomplished cabinet maker. We have a team of reliable trades people who compliment our services, who all have the same work ethos, getting the job done, on time to an excellent standard. All of our trades people are fully qualified and Stephen is Chartered member of the Institute of Building, which involves a rigorous application process.
An excellent job, let down only slightly by taking too much time to get the job right. I would certainly recommend SMG if you want craftsmanship quality.

We were happy with the kitchen and work (apart from late start and finish / lack of communication), but the kitchen has been in for less than a year and the new floor that was laid is splitting. The underlay wasn’t installed correctly so the joints on the vinyl tiles have split. We’re going to have to have it all removed and done again, properly. Very disappointing.

Got in touch and was up for the job. Then had to reschedule due to birthdays then ignored when trying to confirm when they were going to come get more details of the work needed. Still no contact after messages sent.
I am a sole trader with 10years experience in plumbing. I specialise in bathrooms and kitchens. I work very closely with a plasterer so can save the need for you having to look for a variety of tradesmen.
Early Communication wasn't great. Failed to mention that job only done Evenings & Weekends as in full time work - Only advised after old suite removed. Quality of work was good but finishing touches let him down a bit. Had to wash off tile adhesive from ceiling and paint it myself. Felt rushed towards end of job. Initially said rubbish would be cleared - half way through job advised he could find someone to clear it but would be extra fee!

Spartan Construction is a new Business formed by an experienced workforce. We cover North West England but focus mainly in Lancashire and Cumbria.
Luke gave a decent quote for some roof, paving & fence work. What they did complete was good, but they did not finish the job. Communication was very frustrating and I had to constantly chase for updates. I stupidly paid the full balance after the garden was complete, but before the roof work was. It's now 9 weeks on & despite repeated assurances that they will come back (and me offering a further £200 to complete the roof work), I do not believe they intend to return. 3/5

Would not recommend this company. Lack of communication about start date. Numerous excuses about delays at factory re frames then glass. Work eventually completed . Felt pressured to pay balance even though I was not completely satisfied with the job.
