We are 4th generation of decorator's, luckily most of our work is through word of month, we rarely advertise. We have been on rated books for over four years and hardly ever need to use their scheme, such is our workload! But as self employed traditional painters and plasterers we do become short of work sometimes. We are not toshers, so never work for estate agents looking for quick tosh outs. We do things properly, as taught by the old City and Guilds, so you get a good long lasting finish

Imer recently helped me remove old kitchen cabinets and a light rail and install new ones. He was super professional throughout the whole project, promptly responded to all my emails / texts and went above and beyond to make sure the job was to a high standard. I was a little hesitant because he doesn't have too many reviews (he explained most of his work comes from word of mouth), but I'm SO GLAD I DID. Will definitely call him for my next project!

We asked Rob to build a garden pathway and small patio and he did a really good job. From start to finish Rob was knowledgeable, accommodating and professional at times. DB Building Conservation specialises in the use of lime plasters for the repair of listed and period buildings. We are period property experts. We have extensive experience of lime plastering, render and traditional materials such as lath and plaster and wattle and daub. We also undertake repointing and wall repairs with flint and clunch. I have an MSc in Building Conservation and can advise on many aspects of the care and renewal of traditional buildings whether listed or not. Issues such as damp and insulation in old properties are a speciality. We can also recommend and liaise with other tradespeople who are qualified to repair historic timber, brick and stone. Dan did such a great job with our 17th century lime wall. Painstakingly removing the modern repair without damaging the surrounding plaster and then re-lathing and finishing with lime plaster. You can hardly see where the repair is even though we didn't skim the whole wall to preserve wall paintings. Very clean and tidy and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, highly recommended.
