Keiran and his gang at Smith & Sons are a total disgrace. He demanded full payment upfront (which clearly funded his honeymoon), did the bare minimum, then vanished. No return, no refund, no shame. They’ve taken our money and run – pure theft, in my view. They hide behind multiple business names, which reeks of dishonesty and likely tax dodging. Untrustworthy. Unreliable. Unprofessional. Avoid them like the plague. I wouldn’t let them near a garden with a bargepole.
Over 30 years of experience as a multi-tradesman. As well as being a qualified plumber I specialise in other wet trades e.g Decorating, Plastering & Rendering, Tiling & Bricklaying. Also, I fit laminate flooring, skirtings, architraves and timber stud work. I am always punctual and reliable, and clean and tidy in my work. These tradesmen, no better than diyers! Carl dismissive of any constructive advice. Due to ill health. couldn't finish project.Charged me £3,500 for work not completed. On site mon- we'd approx 15hrs , laid 72 blocks, 88bricks to pillars. No show thurs-Fri. supplied 60 blocks/ 5 bags cement/20 bags sand. Didn't use string line/ laser line/ plumb line/ set square. Absolutely atrocious bricklaying. Every time they say their delivering, no show! Very untrustworthy don't hire

Peter and his crew arrived in good time, started work promptly (overboarding and plastering a slightly cracked ceiling), did a good job and finished earlier than I expected them too. One spontaneously offered help when my partner was moving some item. I selected them partly on the basis that Peter could come and see the job and meet me (rather than just sending someone unseen to to do the job on Friday). They were a cheerful and friendly bunch, and I'm happy to give them 5 stars.
