I had thought about what may have caused the problem. Explained this to Carma and fixed an appointment. Turned up as promised, and had obviously prepared to find and apply a solution. Began diagnosis..Explained at every step what he was checking. A sound diagnosis depends on a systematic investigation. Soon found a possible solution, cleared away any other possible causes. Found fault, set up replacement of faulty part. Checked this would provide the solution. And made the change, Spot on Very tidy work.

I've no choice now but to go through the small claims court to try and get the money back. Really disappointing. Removed an existing boiler and relocated/fitted a new combi-boiler inside one day for a great price. British Gas had quoted three times the price for the same job. Quite hard to get hold of on the phone, but worth persevering with.
