He was able to source the necessary parts and completed the repair on the Sunday morning although was willing to do this earlier. The boiler has been running very smoothly ever since. I can't fault the diagnosis of needing a new boiler, but he then quoted me what I believe were excessive prices for a replacement. I've since booked an installation with a nationwide installer for a similar-spec boiler that costs less than half the price of what he was quoting me.
Mr Watson was a very nice and polite man and did every thing he could to solve the problem.
