George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. Alton Services built a 2-storey extension for us and we were so delighted with their work they went on to refurbish our bathroom, completely refurbish my mother's new home and build a conservatory. Their range of ability, attention to detail and work ethic has been really reliable. They turned up every day all day and nothing was too much trouble. Job was cancelled by DPM without being told.
The main job of killing of the grass growing through the artificial grass has been shoddily done. Did not lift the grass to spray the weed killer in the ground only on top of the grass and consequently there is grass already growing back after one week. Also paid to have the patio sprayed but not sure this was even done as weeds still growing. Has ignored my message and would definitely not recommend this “tradesperson” to anyone.

Nice gentleman. However, did not execute as described. Insisted that removing the rubbish stopped at dumping it into my bins. The other rubbish as shown in the picture was left for me to deal. I did not have much energy to argue with him as I felt he was tired.
Long delay to fit unit with no contact for weeks.Screw put through water pipe, causing damage to flooring and on repair of this,more damage caused to flooring.Poor quality wood used, item not stained when requested. Cannot use a nail gun sucessfully, nails sticking out on top of unit.Weeks of no answer to calls to put things right. Compensation eventually offered for damages and hassle caused, then no answer when trying to collect compensation.Very poor service.I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy.
