Craig got in touch quickly, gave me a rough estimate over the phone and answered all my questions. Surveyor arrived on time, gave instant quote. Price was good. George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. They also had all the necessary tools and materials, were ready to buy something additional quickly on the day - if further adjustments were required to fit everything as I asked. When embarking on a large project (in this case a substantial house extension) you want to be reassured that as well as good communication throughout the job, the quality of work will be of the highest and that best efforts are made to bring the job in on time and as near as possible on budget. My wife and I were very impressed on all these fronts and would heartily recommend the AJR team. They turned up everyday for the 3 months the job took, were polite and resolved unforeseen problems creatively.
I apologise for not having posted a rating before now. I thought I had already done so. Our loft conversion has transformed how we live.The cost was fair. The work was carried out to a good standard, quickly and tidily with minimum disruption. We are happy with the result. The "Boys" were friendly and easy to have about and full of good advice. I would use Roy again and have already recommended to others.
Paul and Dave did a great job. My garden was in such a mess!! Weeding was done, ivy growing around walls cut back. Worst job of all was the roots of a conifer growing under slabs. They lifted up slabs digging up and cutting back heavy roots. Slabs, including 3 further slabs were relaid. Added to that lawns were neatly cut. They tidied up after work was completed. Excellent work done in a professional way. 11/10 I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done

I am a general builder that has many skills, I have built extentions, fitted kitchens and bathrooms, removed and rebuilt interior walls, fitted windows and doors. I also have done all specialist types of external rendering, I also tile walls and floors not only with your everyday tiles but I also do natural products such as stone. I laid patios, turf and general gardening,
Chris did a great job of tiling and I wouldn’t hesitate to ask him to do another job for us.

We needed a bathroom ceiling repaired and plastered quickly. Ian was very prompt in quoting vert competitively and we engaged him. He worked very well, very tidy (lots of protective coverings on the floor etc). Did the bond coat, and returned next day to skim - it looks really great. Well done, and would certainly recommend him. The work itself was very good, and while on the job, they were quick, consistent and polite. Problems occurred with finishing off and a number of issues are still outstanding. There were mitigating circumstances - serious illness in the company - but communications with us have been erratic and we are left with a few outstanding issues that we have to deal with ourselves.
A dynamic team of carpenters both reliable and friendly. All aspects of carpentry undertaken 1st and 2nd fix. We have worked on new builds and refurbishments both maintaining the highest of standards. Also do extensions, patios and full bathroom refits.
