Contractors made arrangements to call, arrived on time, they seemed very nice & efficient; however we did not receive a quote as promised, when I queried it; he apologized saying he thought he had emailed me to say it would be late as he had broken his collarbone. Then I received a text saying he wasn't going to quote as he was off sick for 6 weeks, so unfortunately we are unable to rate his work...

My partner Sara is a very accomplished designer and painter and decorator. I have worked for the electricity board for many years and have industrial and home electrical nstallation experience. Showers, electric heating, underfloor heating, extra sockets, rewires, lighting, fuse boards, etc My son has just undertaken a 6 week plastering course, and with myself being self trained and helping, I am also trying to build up his business profile We are highly trustworthy and give a very fair price, We do not like or want to rip people off. I am happy to do emergency or weekend work. I also worked as a kitchen/bathroom fitter for John Lewis for a number of years and therefore am very conscientious of the quality of work expected from high-end clients. Keiran and his gang at Smith & Sons are a total disgrace. He demanded full payment upfront (which clearly funded his honeymoon), did the bare minimum, then vanished. No return, no refund, no shame. They’ve taken our money and run – pure theft, in my view. They hide behind multiple business names, which reeks of dishonesty and likely tax dodging. Untrustworthy. Unreliable. Unprofessional. Avoid them like the plague. I wouldn’t let them near a garden with a bargepole.

Very tidy too, laid down lots of dust sheets and cleared all mess from the job. They arrived on time and got on with the work and finished a lot sooner than i expected. We cannot rate Bailey of Taylor'd Landscaping highly enough. Our large eucalyptus tree had fallen onto our neighbours' garden during Storm Darragh. Bailey turned up on the Sunday to remove what had gone into our neighbours' garden, and then back on Tuesday to finish removing the tree and another diseased tree. Thoroughly professional, fair price and we would recommend this company unreservedly. He also cemented in replacement coping stones for our neighbours' wall at no extra charge. Five star service.
