However the damage incurred by the snow turned out to be less extensive than first thought and I did not need to proceed with this. Wayne is a very hard worker and produced great results in the flat. Due to distance and other commitments I wasn't able to be on site very much, but he is more than able to get on with the job by himself and is highly trustworthy. The place looks completely transformed. The finish of the plastering and ceilings is especially good.

The job evolved during the week (it turned out the floor also needing refitting due to blown tiles and sub-standard base), but Taff was able to adapt and we ended up with a much better outcome. Peter and his crew arrived in good time, started work promptly (overboarding and plastering a slightly cracked ceiling), did a good job and finished earlier than I expected them too. One spontaneously offered help when my partner was moving some item. I selected them partly on the basis that Peter could come and see the job and meet me (rather than just sending someone unseen to to do the job on Friday). They were a cheerful and friendly bunch, and I'm happy to give them 5 stars.
