Masterteck Repair is a hard surface repair and French Polishing specialist.
Job was to sand the floor of our flat and we set a price. After asking for more they guaranteed to finish for the extra price. A day later they pulled out of the job leaving it un finished. They said it was due to a black tar like substance. they said they had tried everything. My painter and decorator took a torch and scrapper and had it up in minutes. They had the wrong tools and seemed like first flooring job. After contacting asking to finish he said he would get back to me but failed to be reached.

George Bell came to work on some damp related issues in my flat in feb. since having completed the works the problems which first occurred have turned worse and George has been unwilling to get back in contact with me, despite chasing him for 5 months which only reaffirms that the job was poorly undertaken. The company main reception also seems to be a virtual reception so you can never speak with anyone helpful

We chose Timber Box Sash Windows to double glaze our sash windows after Andrew came out and surveyed, then followed up with a really decent quote. We got the work done in two phases and both times were really hassle free with the joiners turning up on time and getting on with the job. They were a real pleasure whilst they were here. Very polite and friendly. It’s good to have the same person that surveyed the job actually carry out the work as well, makes for a really smooth process.
Dave did a teriffic job clearing up my very overgrown garden and accomplished in just a few hours a job I had been ignoring for months. He was very prompt to reply to my posting and appeared in the garden just a couple of days later. He did such a good job he's coming back to build us a bike shed and sort out the flowerbeds. This company provided a quote without visiting our property. Their quote was 3x our lowest quote and 2x our highest. Not sure why a company 43 miles away would want to quote for a relatively small job. I feel that the reasons for such a high quote was that either: A: they didn’t really want the job B: I would be paying over the odds for their travelling 43 miles. All that said, until I manage to get three quotes for the insurance company, I cannot move forward anyway.

Shortly after finishing our renovation the floor began to lift, after a 2-year battle and almost court they admitted it was a fitting fault. Not ideal for a 12k job. Now our sink has fallen in, turns out he has used the world's smallest bit of wood and some sealant to fix it to the underside of our granite worktops rather than correctly fitting it using the fixings on the actual sink. Add to this, gaps between drawers and misaligned cupboards and you get the idea.
