The job was done well... but the timekeeping could have been better

I started working at a landfill/ quarry that’s where I learnt how to drive machinery .I have worked for subcontractor for Essex and Hartford Council , then I worked for one of the largest waste management companies , before I went on my own , I have lots of knowledge about how recycling works and this helps me pass on to my customers . Masterteck Repair is a hard surface repair and French Polishing specialist.
Job was to sand the floor of our flat and we set a price. After asking for more they guaranteed to finish for the extra price. A day later they pulled out of the job leaving it un finished. They said it was due to a black tar like substance. they said they had tried everything. My painter and decorator took a torch and scrapper and had it up in minutes. They had the wrong tools and seemed like first flooring job. After contacting asking to finish he said he would get back to me but failed to be reached.
