I also do new build houses from wall plate to finish and fit fascia boards and soffits. Other jobs we regularly complete include full loft Conversions and replacement of old roof windows due to them becoming drafty or if they have been fitted for 25 years and over and need a upgrade. I have been unable to get my deposit back & don't get any replies to my messages. I also gave him the option of still doing the job with no response.
