Formed in 1973 as a family-run business. A&M has since grown to become one of the UK’s largest providers of energy efficiency services working with homeowners, construction firms, local authorities and energy suppliers to make steps to reduce the UK’s carbon footprint. Our annual company turnover is £46m and we have circa 200 employees across the UK. Through our nine branches, we provide coverage throughout the UK and have carried out insulation measures on over 1million properties and premises since we were established in 1973. In addition, all A&M branches are ISO 9001 and PAS 2030 accredited. Approximately 1000 homes are insulated by A&M every week. A&M has been carrying out work for house builders & RSL’s for over 30 years, during which time we have developed an enviable reputation as a contract/commercial installer with a strong customer base. We also specialise in insulation of commercial buildings such as schools, hotels, hospitals, police stations & children centres. We provide a wide range of measures & services for our long-standing Local Authority and Housing Association clients who enjoy substantial improvements to the overall efficiency of their properties. We have also developed significant and sustainable relationships with all obligated energy retailers.

I am very pleased with the work done by JMR. The tradesmen were pleasant and happy to make any changes or additions to the original plans, with the approval of James (the boss). Nic did an amazing job of the plastering, and Tristan applied his many skills to the build. The estimate was reasonable, and was also the final price charged for the original plan. James charged a fair price for the extra work I requested, and was open to discussion on any aspect of the build. A job well done.

Made a total mess of a small extension. Quoted 2 weeks and after 7 I sacked him off as we were going nowhere. Massive list of his work didn’t comply with building regs and ended up fitting a purlin to roof as he used wrong sized joists. I now have bits of roof hanging off after max 30 mph winds Even managed to cock guttering up so down pipe is nowhere near drains. Roof leaking and I have had to sack him off and pay another load of cash to a set of lads who can do the job. Avoid or he’ll bankrupt you
