Placed advert Thursday. Contacted same day by Mike with a view to coming out and quoting next day. Came on time priced the job on Friday and arranged to start work on the Tuesday. Mike worked with his son Silas. What a really nice pair. Genuine, polite and got on with the job even though I asked for a few tweaks along the way. Both very old school and worked at their own pace - happy with work carried out and will use them again. Reasonable price too.

He worked for his brother in Johnson’s Scaffolding and Johnson’s Building for 15 years. The last couple of years he has branched out doing his own jobs and establishing his own company. Luke prides himself on his extensive knowledge and finding solutions to tricky projects to ensure the best outcome in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Most of Luke’s work has been acquired through word of mouth, as many people are highly satisfied with his finished work and tend to recommend him to their neighbours, friends and family. Solum have done a great job on our patio and on the artificial grass. Some extra finishing touches were added without change to the original quote. Macaulay Tree Services is based in Ampthill and covers all of Bedfordshire and North Hertfordshire. We are a small team of 3 led by Liam Macaulay who has 9 years of experience in Tree surgery and Urban Forestry and has a FdSc degree in Arboriculture from Northampton University. We offer all tree services including stump grinding and we also specialise in high hedges and fencing.

Although I posted the request on a Sunday night - I was amazed when Ash responded an hour later, following up promptly with a call the next morning. Ash completed the work that same week. He stayed in full contact with us throughout, with updates and details whilst the work was under way. The response and communication was amazing, workmanship was top quality, and the costs very fair.
