George and his team are experienced builders, replaced my front door with a custom frame/sidelights and raising the floor level in the hallway quite quickly - in fact, they were the only who came next day, gave a quote straightaway and were ready to start in just couple of days. We are a small building company taking on small jobs to larger refurbishments. Built up from carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers and electricians.
Alisair was the guy who came round a day after i put the advert online to look at the job. He took measurements and offered to buy all parts for us at trade price saving us the job. Updated us on final cost and date to do the work, turned up as scheduled and even done a small extra jobs. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately I’m dissatisfied with the job S&D has done for 3 reasons: * they smeared with the cement mix all the brickwork they touched as well as the adjacent wall and the electric car charger * they left the rubble behind * they were going to leave the roof not weather sealed until I spotted and and fought for it to be mended

Did a poor job. Begged to be paid and promised to return to fix issues. He never did and ignores messages. Felt not sealed properly, bubbled out and on the front where visible. Knocked 2 bricks completely loose and just left them like that. Didn't mention them. Regret taking a punt on him. Silly of me to pay the full amount. You live and learn.
